New posts not showing on home page

  • I just published my second post but my first post is still showing as the featured post on the homepage. How do I fix this?

  • Could you share your website address? So that I can check and see what is happening there.

    Make sure that if your first post is set to sticky.

    How do I check if the first post is sticky?

    Check the theme’s options page and look for an option to include articles in featured category.
    I think your first article is in the featured category and the second one is not.

    Thank you. I went into the Genesis theme and couldn’t find an option to include articles in the featured category.

    My framework is Genesis and the theme is Daily Dish.

    If you have any further suggestions they’re most appreciated!! I am so new to this.

    The other issue I have is that the “Featured post” is showing the entire post whereas I want it to just show a couple of paragraphs and then have a Read More, click here.

    When I go into the Genesis theme settings it seems to suggest only 280 characters will be shown but more are showing for sure.
