• The website I’m working with is https://www.theparapod.com/

For some time now, when new posts or edits to pages are made, they aren’t appearing straight away. They post successfully, but they just don’t appear on the site itself.

This isn’t just happening for me, it’s been reported by the other site editors as well as lots of visitors. The issue exists on mobile devices as well.

I find that shift+command+R on a mac or ctrl+F5 on windows work to make the edits/updates show, so I assume it is a cache issue, but my knowledge doesn’t extend any further than that so I’ve no idea what could be causing it or how to fix it.

This only started happening around a month ago, and it’s not a problem I’ve experienced before. Short of adding a ‘please refresh your cache’ or a similar piece of text to the site I don’t know what to do. It’s quite a big problem if people are still seeing old pages when we’ve made changes.

Would be really really grateful for any help.

  • Are you using any caching plugins on your site? Do you remember what happened around a month ago – did you update WordPress and/or plugins?

Thank you very much for your reply.

    I have these plugins:
    Akismet Anti-Spam
    Hide Title
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    MOJO Marketplace
    TablePress
    TinyMCE Advanced

None of them are newly installed, they’ve all been there since before the issue.

It’s possible I may have updated wordpress around that time, I definitely did that recently, may have coincided. Is it possible to go back to a previous version to check if that is the issue?

    Thanks again
