I was using WP Fastest Cache, but ran into some low scores with Google Speed tests and decided to deactivate it and post the following code into my htaccess file to see if it improved (I’ll copy/paste at bottom of message).

My Google score went up and I thought all was good. So I deleted WP Fastest Cache.

But then a scheduled post didn’t show up on my main page like it should have. Yet, if I put a space (empty/blank) in the search bar, it showed up in search results.

Interestingly enough, when I update pages and posts, they update right away.

It’s only the new posts that don’t show up unless I empty the browser cache.

Any thoughts or help about this? Should I have erased/deleted something before getting rid of the plugin?

    I tried reinstalling/activating/emptying cache/disactivating – but that didn’t work.

    Thanks in advance!

Although you deleted the WPFC, new posts don’t appear on the home page. Did I understand properly?

    Right.

Actually, a day after I posted this, the site would update itself for the majority of the time.

I use Firefox as a browser. And, today, an update to a page didn’t occur, so I checked it out with Chrome. With Chrome – the page updated, but I realized that it was still lacking 3 more recent posts on the main page.

So who knows what’s going on?
