New Posts does not send email to Subscribers

  • Dear Developer,

    My new posts does not send email notifications to my subscribers. I also noticed that this problem occurs randomly. And sometimes I can fix it by setting the post as “Draft” then pressing “Publish” again. But in the last 2 days this strategy seems to fail.

    What I also noticed is that usually whenever I Published a new post, I can go to my “Jetpack Site Stats” and inside the bar, there usually will have “Date, Views, and Published post name”. But whenever this problem occurs, there will not be Published post name within the bar.

    I have submit this problem through the form also where it includes a few email addresses that doesn’t receive the notifications.

    Seems I was looking at the same problem. I found out that I have followers AND subscribers. Followers get the email notifications and my subscribers are not. Not sure why? Maybe we can help each other sort this out.

    Hi, I’m having the same question. How to make my subscribers get an automatic mail on subscription and an automatic mail on every new post, but with the post details. Because I’ve found a suggestion how to send a generic mail here https://www.wprecipes.com/how-to-automatically-notify-your-members-on-new-posts. My doubt is if the functionality is there out of the box.

    That is a good link and I will try it. I spoke to my host support – they said email notifications should go out when I post goes up(out of the box) but WP is using php mail which is not as realible as SMTP mail, they said, so the suggestion was to download a plugin for SMTP. I am currently trying this one:

    I’ve tried the JetPack by WordPress plugin and it is really what I’m looking for. Now the users could subscribe to my blog, and they will not actually be a subscribers in terms of blog users, but they will receive all the mails and updates.

    Sounds good ?? I don’t see followers and subscribers difference from my end, but I can see “Email Followers” and “WordPresscom Followers”.

    Jeremy, the developer is also looking into it. I have tested so far my short post is sending the notifications fine. I had problem with my longer posts. I will keep testing and see..

    New to the forum. This seems like where I should pose this problem but please advise if not. My new posts do not send to subscribers. I have searched the forum and have not found a resolution to the problem. I’ve installed and configured Subscribe2, Jetpack and WP-Mail-SMTP.

    I receive posts at the default email but none of my subscribers are getting posts. I get the error “The following From address failed: [email protected]”

    My webhost & email is Yahoo
    Site is oakwoodsfarm.com
    My WordPress site is oakwoodsfarm.com/blog1

    Do I need to use a different blogger?
