New Posts Disappear in Preview AND Published mode.

  • Hello,

    I am having trouble with new posts. I have been using Microsoft Word to write the posts, then paste using the Microsoft Word insert from the WSYSG. What happens is that only the first sentence is showing and not the rest.

    I then tried adding the content in a text document and pasting it using the WSYSG paste as plain text. Same result with the exact same beginning sentence appearing.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! ( I currently do NOT have the problem content up due to it being live)

  • Don’t paste content from Microsoft Word into WordPress as the pasted text will also contain Word’s own formatting. Sooner or later, this formatting will stop your pages from being displayed correctly (if at all) in Internet Explorer. If you cannot possibly manage without Word, paste your text into NotePad (or another text editor) first, then copy from NotePad into WordPress.

    Or use Windows LiveWriter.

    Thanks for the quick respone Esmi. Using a Mac, I did approximately what you suggested earlier pasting it into a “text editor”, copying it and then posting as plain text with the same results.

    I forgot to mention that I deactivated all plugins as well.

    I currently do NOT have the problem content up due to it being live

    Unless we can see the problem, we can’t really come up with a solution.
