  • Can you replicate the problem using the default theme with all plugins deactivated?

All plugins are deactivated and the same thing is happening.

BTW, this is a Multi-site environment

    What about the theme?

Well, it is complicated as I have really customized this theme, it is basically a new theme that has very little resemblance to the original theme. This issue is theme related as I just tested the other sites on our multi-site environment and they are working fine.

DO you have an idea where in the theme code this might be causing problems?

You can still try changing the the theme temporarily to confirm that it’s a theme issue.

Sorry – not without examining the theme’s files. What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

Yes I changed the theme and it worked properly.
I will try to install the original theme and test that, if that doesn’t work then I will know it is the original theme problem and not my customizations.

    I will return and report…

Yes the original theme has the same issues, I will contact the original developer.
    Thanks

Boy do I feel stupid! In the template there was an option to include different categories and the new posts were from a brand new category that was not checked to be included in the blog. Since I had googled the question and had come across other similar issues it just took me down the wrong path.

    Thanks for your assistance!
