New Posts and Page Updates Not Showing on Other Computers

    Hi all:

    I just slowly realized that any new posts, or post/page updates I have made since the beginning of February 2013 are not viewable.

    I can see my home page and updates normally on my own computer — all new content is clearly visible. However, when using a friend’s computer, I noticed it looks like my blog was frozen in time from February.

    I do believe that new posts can be seen by folks if I link to articles via Facebook or some other means, because some of the posts since Feb. have social media traffic and comments.

    However, I’ve updated a page and asked for feedback, but a reader cannot discern any edits that I have made.

    Any help? This is bewildering and extremely inconvenient for my business.

    This sounds like a server caching issue…review how you are using W3 Total Cache (or consider WP Super Cache)..tip: Clear server cache after some site changes and deactivate when updating…

    I do not have W3 Total Cache installed, and I just installed WP Super Cache.

    I’m not sure what my next step should be, based on that. Any tips? I have limited experience with this type of plug-in… and I’m not technical enough to understand what the information at your link mean.

    Your theme and/or plugins are outputting broken pages. This has nothing to do with any caching plugin.

    esmi: What do I do with that info.? I have tried deactivating all plugins, and nothing has changed. (I renamed plugin folder to plugin.hold, refreshed site on a different computer…. same old, same old.) I’ve also changed the theme with no changes.

    Try switching to the 2012 or 2011 theme.

    I did that, and there were no changes, unfortunately.

    Can we see the site using the default theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Login to wp-admin. Then click on wp supre cache link under the General Settings Menu. You will get a button ‘Delete’ cache button> Next check your site.

    Sure: you can check it out now — I have Twenty Eleven activated, and all plugins have been deactivated through the dashbaord menu.

    I’m not seeing the 2012 theme.

    2012 is active as we speak. I’ve logged in on a few different machines, and as long as I am logged in, I can see the site up-to-date. Logged out, I see the same frozen in time site from Feb. 9.

    So that suggests that it WAS or IS on your site – I’m not familiar with that plugin, but I believe it’s a bit more complicated to turn it off and clear everything – you might want to ask on their forums:

    I have WP Super Cache installed and activated as we speak, but no other plugins. I have just noticed that w3 Total Cache does not appear in the dashboard, but I do have a folder for it that I can see through FTP.

    I am copying its contents and will delete it to see what happens… if anything? Not sure why that would make a difference…

    As I said, I think you DO need to do more than deactivate w3TC. Have you tried resetting the plugins folder as a troubleshooting step?
