New posting very slow when posting articles immediately

    When i log in to admin panel and i add a article it is added fast. But then if i want to add another without waiting the other articles need more than 40 seconds and some times even more.
    And during this processing time of the new article the site is down but the admin panel works ok.

    I have a powerful Virtual Private Server and I think is not a server capacity problem cause i have tested it even with 150 users online (currently having 40-50).

    I have wordpress 2.6.0 – 3600 posts – 5800 tags.

    Maybe I have lots of tags?
    Before it wasnt this problem but adding more posts and tags it started. I didnt even change any version of wordpress.
