New post won’t publish right unless saved as draft first

    Hi there,

    Working on a new website and WP won’t save neither my category or my featured image for a new post, unless I save it as a draft first and ONLY then will publish it right.

    If I try to publish it without saving as draft first, the post is still published but, without its category and featured image (category gets deselected and image gets removed).

    I’ve tried disabling all plugins with no luck. This is a multisite installation by the way.

    Has anyone encountered such a problem?

    Does it work if you use a default, bundled theme like Twenty Seventeen?

    @jcastaneda thanks for your comment. Yes, I’ve tried the default theme, creating a new user and disabling all plugins.

    I’ve also noticed after the post is published (without category and featured image), if I change the state back to draft, re-select category and featured image and save it THEN I can re-publish it correctly (i.e. with category and image working).

    Totally baffled with this…

    What plugins are network activated? Does it happen on any other browser, or operating system?

    I’m using:

    • ACF
    • Clean WP Admin Menu
    • Elementor Pro
    • CodeStyling Localization

    I”m also using a plugin I made myself to create CTP and some other functions I need.

    I have tried disabling absolutely all of them and cleaning the cache with no luck. I can also confirm it’s happening both in Firefox and Chrome on a Windows Machine. Haven’t tried a different OS yet.
