I just set up a new blog via download from www.remarpro.com, no plugins installed, imported posts from another vanilla (no plugins) blog, and the add/edit post page is being weird. Going to ‘add new post’, all of a sudden the left nav pulldown menus don’t work, and none of the # anchor reference links work (e.g.#edit_timestamp, #status, etc.)

Tested with FF3, FF5, Safari and latest chrome.

Tried it with visual editor disabled as well.

    Anyone duplicate this issue?

  • I have json 1.2.1 enabled and still am experiencing all the same symptoms in the admin:
    – admin submenu not expanding/contracting
    – tinyMCE white-text-on-white-background issue, & unable to switch visual>HTML tabs
    – unable to add new tags
    – can’t pull down any admin menus (“screen options” “help” “howdy, username”)

to my understanding these are all jQuery items and thats the issue..

I deactivated all plugins, reverted to twenty ten, and no resolve.

I also tried putting define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true); in config.php and nothing.

    this is not good!!

Same here. I’m using the all-new “Fixed” 3.2.1 and still get this issue, so I’m rolling back. I’ve got PHP 5.3.3, the latest MySQL and JSON enabled ??

The 3.2.1 fix is a ‘fail’ for me also.

I actually fixed this by doing a fresh install and then re-adding everything. I’m still getting the odd issue with the Disqus commenting system but at least the site works now ..

I’m sitting here trying to decide whether to upgrade PHP 5.1.6 to 5.3.6 so I can upgrade WP to 3.2, and from this discussion I can’t tell if it’s a good idea or not. My site, lifering.org, is very active and having it down while I tinker with javascript would be a VERY bad idea – my skills in this area are weak and our site is on a GoDaddy “virtual host” arrangement which means I’m getting very little help from them. Seriously, should I go ahead and install PHP 5.3.6 with the JSON extension? Or is something else wrong here?

Just updated Firefox to version 6. Can’t use tabs, move widgets or sign out properly in WP 3.2.1
PHP version is OK according to the test plugin.
    All is well using IE.
Anyone else with the same problems, or am I on my own?

I still have the exact same issues after upgrading to 3.2.1
I can’t use the editor, can’t post anything, can’t log out, can’t move widgets, ect.

my json extensions are also enabled and still no luck.

I have the same issue in firefox and explorer.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

And in future, please post a new topic. Don’t tack a post onto a thread that is months old.
