New post message produces lots of 'Sent' mail

  • Hi, first of all big hand for your plugin. I’m enjoying it every day!

    We have a site with 13 people, all have administrator rights and all are subscribed to new post-notificatons.

    But when i publish a post, the mail arrives at my other admins, i get 13 e-mail in my SENT mailbox.

    I can’t see what setting produces this. Can you hint me? Or have a look in my admin page?

    If you account is used as the sender account then email notifications will be created in your Sent items.

    Hi Mattyrob,
    I’ve just changed the setting from ‘Post author’ to ‘Name of the website’, but sending a test message still produces 13 mails.
    Can i send you a DM to check inside?

    I’m not sure what you are expecting to happen – do you want the admins to receive notifications of new posts?

    If you don’t want them to get notifications for new posts you’ll need to unsubscribe them. In Subscribe2 -> Subscribers go to the Registered Users tab and then use the Bulk Manage section at the bottom of the page. Select all categories and click Unsubscribe – that should stop those 13 emails.

    Hi again,
    I indeed want the admins to receive notifications. And they do.

    I was just wondering if it is normal that a copy of that notification is saved in the Sent mailbox as you can see here:

    That is what I’d expect to see, the emails should be showing in a sent folder.
