• I’m fairly new to WP and I’m looking for where I can set the default content in a new post? Right now tinyMCE is loading and I just can’t seem to find the spot in the code to add “Hello World” and have it show up in the text area for writing a post in the admin section.

Does anyone know where this is or have any idea how I can find where to add it?

    Thanks!

  • Honestly, I have no idea what you’re talking about. What do you mean by default content? There is no default content. It sounds like you’re saying you want each of your posts to contain the words “hello world” automatically? #1. why? and #2. as far as I know there’s no way to do that.

I’ve got a text template for one of my blogs, it’s like a usual format I use for posting First Half, Second Half, Final Score, type of thing. I just keep a “Draft” post around with my usual-post text.

I’ll go into Write Post, click Drafts, copy the text (Control-C), then click Write Post, and paste the text (Control-V).

Check out the Post Template plugin which, pretty much, does exactly what you are looking for.
