When my site automatically posts a new post three times a week, Zen Cache does not allow the Archive page to update and show the new post.

Also, when I click the previous button and go back a post, it still treats the most recent old post as if it were the newest post. What that means is that when I rollover and click the next button while on the most recent older post, the button behaves as if there is no next post, i.e., the cursor does not change to show that the next button is active, and when clicked the next button does nothing, even though there is a next post to go to.

Please let me know how I can fix this.

    Thanks for taking the time.

    Brian

P.S. queenluna.com will next update on Wednesday morning at 12:01 a.m., California time. There should then be 14 posts in the Archive.

ZenCache automatically clears the cache for Archive pages, however it sounds like you’re using a custom Archive page, i.e., something that ZenCache isn’t aware about. To tell ZenCache to clear the cache for a specific page (i.e., your custom Archive page), please see the following article: Clearing the Cache Dynamically

Also, when I click the previous button and go back a post, it still treats the most recent old post as if it were the newest post.

So does that mean the home page does not appear to be updating when a new post is published? I’m not entirely clear on what you’re saying is wrong.

Thanks for taking the time. I almost understand the Clearing the Cache Dynamically page you provided. Probably I’ll get some help with that.

About the home page: Yes, the home page does appear. If I use the previous navigation to go back a page, that works too. It’s when I want to use the next navigation to return to the single-post version of the newest post (a version of which is now the home page) that things break down. It’s as if the new post doesn’t exist: nothing happens with a rollover of the next navigation, nor with a click on that navigation.

Please let me know if that makes sense.

    Thanks,

    Brian
