• well this is it… in movable type you have the possibility to create new index files and rename them as you like past the code and give that files an output, the directory that you want them to be.

and i thought, why not have a plugin that do the same in wordpress???

so i asked a developer friend of mine if this could be done for wordpress!

well, here it is the answer:

A manager for files, you can copy, move or delete existing files between themes – only for wordpress 1.5

    wp-themes-file-manager.

    hope you like it.

As you may know the plugin is a beta release, so if someone as found a bug please let me know.

    Thank’s

This allows you to… move template files between themes? Useful, if you need it.. but I don’t personally see a need… Could someone give me an example of why one might need this? (I’m not trying to be mean, I just don’t understand the plugin)

btw. where to put in to?

    and how to activate?

    Ok !!!

xjonx – just put it in the plugin’s folder and click activate

satoshi – Supose that you have a portfolio page, you develope the xHTML code for it as you like, then tomorrow maybe you need to update with another work, what will you do?

basic: copy the file and rename it as you like make a new page in your administrator and link to the file and change the text and images as you like, this way you don’t need to use your ftp client, make all this steps in the administration of your site.

    hope it helps.

    thx…
