New Plugin: No Ping Wait

    Forgive me for asking, but what does this do that unchecking “Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)” in Options/Discussion doesn’t?

    From all I can see, for the default method of saving a post this option is ignored anyways. (Don’t you love unfixed bugs?) For editing a post, the option does affect without the plugin, with the plugin it pings no matter what, I might fix that, although I don’t really think its that much of an issue.

    Can I use this with Smart Update Pinger? I like that extension because it only pings when I make a new post or draft (I’d prefer only a new post though).

    Perhaps you could add that ability to only ping when making a new post and not editing into your plugin as an option…

    Remove the line add_action(‘edit_post’… and you’re fine. I left the ping code in because its the default behavior of WordPress, and I’m just trying to make it faster not change everything.
