New plugin for AIM users

  • I just “finished” my first plugin and I’d love to get some input. It basically generates a little icon that when clicked creates an AOL Instant Messenger away message based on a post.

    Let me know what you think. Worth finessing? Worth submitting to all those plugin lists out there?

    Maybe you could explain it a little more, and describe “who” would use it, and maybe different ways they could use it..

    It’s for people who want to publicize their post through AIM. By clicking on the icon this plugin inserts in your post, your away message automatically changes to an excerpt (and link) from your post. You can see it in action on my website.

    People who use blogging as a way to stay connected might want it to let their friends know when they’ve updated. News bloggers might want it so that readers can set their away message to an interesting article.
