New plugin add request pending for a day!

The Plugin review queue, like the Theme review queues are managed by a small number of volunteers volunteering their time.

Your plugin will be gotten to, it hasn’t slipped through the cracks, it’s right there along side a huge number of other Plugins submitted in the last few days. Reviews and approvals are not instantaneous, but expect the plugin request to be reviewed in the near future.

Actually this is first time I faced delay in 5 years. All these years, my plugins were approved within 1-2 hours. I must be lucky then. ??

I have created and submitted a new plugin. However, please suggest how long does it take for review and approval?
