New personal data export tool stuck “Downloading Data…”

  • Hi,

    I have tested the new personal data export tool on a fresh install and all works fine. But on one of my existing sites, it all works up until the download button is clicked or the send email.

    Both stall and don’t seem to do anything. I thought it may be due to the size of the data, so I wait… and wait… and test a new user which has just been created. I wait and wait and wait. NOTHING.

    It’s so frustrating.

    Is anyone else experiencing this?

    I’m about to clone the site and deactivate all plugins and the theme and start troubleshooting… which I would prefer to avoid if this is a know issue. This troubleshooting is likely to take me a long time due to the number of plugins (mainly WC extensions).

    I don’t see any errors in the console or anything, it’s very strange.

  • What about the error log? What is the version of WordPress on your existing site?

    Thanks for your reply.
    Nothing is being logged as far as I can tell, nothing in the console while it tries to load.
    I’m using the latest WordPress (4.9.6).

    Unfortunately i’m also experiencing this issue in the same way that you are. I’m also on version 4.9.6.
