New password (from WP) won't work.

I’m locked out of my wordpress page. It says my password is incorrect.
I enter my username and email and a new password is sent to my inbox. I try to use the new password, either by copy/paste or manually typing it in, and it still says the password is incorrect.

I’ve tried this seven times now with no success.

I’m not sure which version of wordpress I have. It was set up in 2008, but it’s been updated since then.
