New Pages won't appear and Can't upload anything

I installed wordpress through GoDaddy hosting applications. I originally installed it under a file name while it was in production but when completed I moved it to the root file of the domain using GoDaddy app managing to move it. After moving it, no new pages appear on the page and I get an error message that mentions the permissions. I have read the article about checking permissions but when I try to do that in my ftp nothing changes. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!
