New page showing as post

    Hi all,

    I’ve recently created a ‘page’ on my site. The page is showing as a page in every sense in the backend. However, when I view the page from a browser it shows ‘posted on September 16’ etc etc and my disqus comments kicks in at the bottom. I have configured disqus to only appear on ‘posts’.

    I’ve tried deactivating disqus and other recent plugins but still the same outcome??

    Pretty confused!! I’ve also tried creating a new page since and the same thing happens..

    Any ideas folks??

  • It shows as a page in the HTML of that page:

    <body class="page page-id-2905 page-template page-template-full-width-page-php custom-background">

    Have you checked the “allow comments” under Quick Edit for that page?

    Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins to see if that fixes the problem?

    I’ve just deactivated all plugins and no change..

    If ‘Quick Edit’ is the same as ‘screen options’ at the top of the page admin area, then yes. I’ve also opened another pages admin window to check all is the same which it is :/ Very confusing…

    Seems to be some sort of conflict somewhere…I’ve got pTypeConverter plugin that I’ve had for a while and it displays as a page in that aswell…

    Brain hurts lol

    Found Quick Edit, never used that before..Strangely the ‘Allow comments’ box was ticked. I’ve un-ticked it and all is back to normal!!
