New Page adding widgets

    New to WordPress so this may be really elementary……

    Using Luminescence Lite 1.2.0
    Create new page and the default text “This is default content to showcase a page with a left sidebar column. Once you publish your first widget to this position, this sample content will be replaced by your widget. ” shows, now I can not put the widgets on the new page there is no way that I can see to “publish to a page”?

    Please point me in the correct direction.
