New owner of the plugin? What about the future of the plugin?
-
Hello,
This plugin was useful but also quite difficult as every update was a gamble and could lead into hours and days of troubleshooting. Now I see there is a different plugin owner instead of the original R.W. I noticed this also with another plugin that got actually shutdown in December (Ooohboi). So someone went shopping – congrats, and I hope you can make the best of it.
I would like that in such situations the communication with users would be better. Why not giving a transparent information about what happened?
We must decide which plugin stack we use and are responsible for it. If a plugin shuts down or makes many problems on a client’s website it’s partly my fault, as I have selected it.
When changes go on without transparent communication, it is difficult to understand how reliable the entire plugin is for the future.
As I have seen this now twice within an hour for plugins on my sites, I thought I just share this with you.
How is the future looking for this plugin?
best regards
Markus
