    Hello,

We wanted to activate the new Sign in with Google module.

We use wp foro but this module doesn’t seem to add a form or work with this plugin which has its own registration form.

Apparently, the new module does not work for all forms or plugins (log in, create an account, etc.)

Singn it with Google version is indicated in beta…

On the other hand, automatic updating of plugins is disabled on our sites, the site kit plugin updates itself automatically.

This is abnormal, what do you think?

    Sincerely

Hi @zepolo, thanks for getting in touch and for raising this with us. To better understand this problem, please could you share the following:

    1. Your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you encounter the issue when disabling the Site Kit plugin and the same when disabling the WP foro plugin?
    3. The exact steps of what you are trying to do. This way we can try the same to see if we can replicate this issue on our side.
    4. Screenshots or recordings of what you see when going through this process.

All the information above will help us to look into this further for you and help to provide some next steps to take and address any potential issues that may be on the Site Kit side.

Let me know if you have any questions at this time.

@zepolo Thank you for sharing the information it’s very helpful. I will check this with the team to see if this is something that is possible at this stage with the Sign in with Google module.

In the meantime, if you could share the exact steps you have taken with WP foro and Site Kit, then I can try to follow the same steps to recreate the issue you are facing.

@zepolo I just wanted to follow up once more after spotting in your site health that the Sign in with Google module is not connected on your site. Is this because you recently disconnected it after facing this issue?

If this isn’t the case then could you please share a screenshot of the Sign in with Google module from your Site Kit settings so that I can see what you are seeing?

@zepolo I have discussed this with the team and the behaviour you have explained is expected at this stage. Currently, Sign in with Google only works on the wp-login page. We only render it on the core login page and the WooCommerce login page.

For the Sign in with Google button to appear, open registration would need to be enabled from your settings. We are looking to allow users to place the Sign in with Google button wherever they wish with a a dedicated block in the future so keep a look out for that.

I hope this helps to answer your questions but if there is anything else I can help with then please let me know.

    Hello Adam, noted, Thank you.

So the module currently only works for WordPress and WooCommerce login pages.

I would like to point out that open registration was activated in our settings but nothing was displayed in the “open an account” and “connect” pages.

I’ll keep an eye on it until I can enable the connection in all possible cases. That would be great.

Plugin’ authors allow connection via a Facebook account (same process). Do you want me to post a request on the plugin author’s forum?

They planned it for Facebook but not for Google Sign It ?

In any case, thank you for your efforts and feedback.

@zepolo No problem at all and glad I could help answer your questions. Feel free to open any request you wish with the plugin author regarding other additions and they will assist you with those.

You are very welcome, glad I could help to answer your questions.
