    Hi guys,

    The new Microsoft Policy – Multifactor authentication for per-user multifactor authentication users is causing issues with the plugin. We use Other SMTP.

    SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.

    Once we turn the policy into reporting mode the issue goes away, however ideally we want the policy to be turned on.

    Hi @cmurphyy,

    Thanks for reaching out! If you have enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your Microsoft 365 email account, you need to set up an App Password within your Microsoft 365 account settings and then you can use that App Password under your WP Mail SMTP -> Settings -> SMTP Password area.
