• Hello dear WordPress Community!

Short time ago, i was looking for a feature to create folders within the media library, and was disappointed when I found out this was impossible nor a plugin with it.

So I knew about this script called PDW File browser, and I then decided to create a plugin out of it to work with WordPress. It is extremely user friendly (acts like a normal Windows 7/Mac folder).

Take a look at the plugin here!

What do you think about it? Any criticism/feedback is highly appreciated, as I’d like to further develop the plugin. I did not create the filebrowser, I only made a plugin with it, to work within WordPress.

If anybody did like to help with the plugin/contribute for some credit, you should be very welcome to contact me.

As of right now, if use the original WordPress feature ‘Upload/insert media’ (the one above the content editor), and then click ‘From URL’ you can double click the input-button and it will bring up the filebrowser. However, it does not work when you wish to edit an image, and wish to update URL with another image. I have no idea how to implement this feature, as it is within the WordPress TinyMCE configuration.

However, if you enable the ‘Advanced Image Button’ feature with the original TinyMCE, it is supported 100%. If anyone knows how to do the trick – feel free to inform me.

    Have a great day!
