    Hey guys,

i’ve installed WPS Hide Login and at first it was working like it should. But after a day or so the newly created Login URL is leading to a 404 Error. I’ve excluded the URL from Caching (WP Fastest Cache Free). Sometimes i got it working by adding ?v=1 at the end of the new Login URL, but that is only working randomly. Currently i had to disable the plugin to get the old wp-admin working again. Any Ideas? Thanks!

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

Are you using any CDN or Cloudflare ? Do your host provide a server cache ?

    Hi,
no CDN, no Cloudflare – Hosting Opcache is enabled in PHP Settings (Plesk), thats all.

Is WPS Hide Login activated ? Did you check if wp-login.php was working ? Do whl_page line in wp_options database table exist ?

I do have the same issue exactly as described in the first message in this ticket !

The problem appears only on websites making use of the “woocommerce” plugin.

    Any ideas and help ?

    Hello,

Did you check the URL Woocommerce is looking for when you try to reach the page ? Maybe it tries to find wp-login.php whereas it leads to 404 as WPS Hide Login should do.

    Hi Maxime,

thank you for reaching out on this topic.

Indeed there is a misunderstanding on your behalf, because Woocommerce does not look for anything and has no issue with your plugin at all ??

It is just interesting to note, that on WordPress sites with your plugin installed and simulaneously the Woocommerce plugin installed:

    1) your plugin works well at the beginning: it disables as expected WordPress login by /wp-login and /wp-admin and enables WordPress login by the new URL such as /new-login (as an example)

    2) your plugin shows “after some time” (sometime hours or days) a 404 page when someone tries to login to the WordPress dashboard by the new URL such as /new-login (as an example)

Websites without the Woocommerce plugin do not show this error. Strange enough.

By the way: the whl_page line still exists as expected in the wp_options database table, the WPS Hide Login plugin is activated and the wp-login.php was working before ??

    Any ideas and help ?

    Hello,

Is whl_page options still here in your wp_options database table ?

Did you try to deactivate every plugins except WPS Hide Login and Woocommerce and clear every caches ?

    Hi Maxime,

your question about the whl_page option has already been answered before (see message before) ??.

I do not try to deactivate every plugin as you propose, as this would break the overall functionality which is absolutely given without your plugin. As a non-member of your developers I will therefore stop any further investigation on my behalf and look for an alternative ??.
