“New” label / sticker / badge on new image(s) in wordpress gallery

It’s in the form of a plugin that simply uses a transient (temporary metadata) to track which media items are new and runs a check for these items when the media items are pulled in. Works on load for the media page on posts/pages and the main media library.

I got this far then ran out of time, it’s not the best setup as it runs multiple ajax calls but it was quick and easy to put together. It won’t work when searching media or swapping between media types at the moment.
