I downloaded and installed ShortPixel about a month ago. After installation and optimizing my images I could not get them to display on my site without being extremely blurry, even optimized at lossless. The only way I found around this was to “ENABLE” Enable site accelerator and Speed up image load times in Jetpack. This is contrary to what you suggest with your new conflict check feature. With those two Jetpack settings ENABLED my images are crisp and clear, I show the results in GTMetrix and Pagespeed and it shows my images being served from the ShortPixel CDN. Just thought I would give you a heads up that at least for me your suggested Jetpack setting do not work and others may run into this problem as well.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I Use Jetpack as CDN and will stop using ShortPixel if it interrupts or conflicts with this functionality.

I have both activated at present and there doesn’t appear to be a problem. Could you please explain why it is that we are being warned of a potential conflict?

Could you please elaborate on what exactly the conflict is that we are being warned about?

    Hello,
thank you for using ShortPixel and thank you for your feedback! ??

    About that new conflict alert:
    1) it should only appear when the “photon” feature of Jetpack is enabled and not when just Jetpack is active.
    2) the reason for this alert is that we’ve had clients that optimized images with ShortPixel, the optimized images look good by themselves but when they are served via Jetpack’s CDN they are optimized again and this results in blurry images.

@mechanicman – you seem to be using both ShortPixel Image Optimization plugin and Autoptimize plugin with images being optimized & served from ShortPixel CDN. And Jetpack! ??
If you want you can contact us directly here and we can look into this more closely. Please mention this ticket if you do so.

@sri-shunyata I explained above but please don’t hesitate to get back to me should you need additional explanations.
Also if you have any suggestions on how we could transmit this better via the warning please do share them with me.

    Thank you for your support,
