New installation ‘too many redirects’

Hi all – I have a domain which I only used to upload html pages and pdfs to public_html/eguidestream.com to make them available to my subscribers.

I just installed WP on this domain. When I go to the /wp-admin I get an error message ‘redirected too many times’. I tried clearing cookies and cache in Cpanel but that did not make any difference.

Could it be the other docs I have uploaded causing this?
