Our group currently uses the hosted version of WordPress. A couple of days ago I decided to download and install WordPress into a sub-domain created specifically for the application; https://crapmagic.artiesmagic.com

After doing the installation into the sub-domain and then the importing of the existing blog from https://crapmagic.wordpress.com, the blog is not displaying. I can log into the dashboard and see the imported data from the other site but what have I done wrong that is preventing the blog from displaying in the new location.

I think I must be missing something simple but I can’t figure it out.

Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,
    Todd S.

There is probably an index.html or home.html file in the same directory as the WordPress index.php file. Remove the index.html or home.html file, either via FTP or your hosting provider’s file manager, and all should be fine.

    Thanks James,

I knew it was something simple. Now I’m just waiting for my DNS servers to update themselves. I really appreciate your help.
