new installation – can't login or view pages

    I’ve just installed WordPress and I cannot login to the admin area. It just keeps refreshing to a new login page. Also, I tried to visit the blog on my server and get the following error message:

    <<<<<<The page isn’t redirecting properly

    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
    cookies.>>>>>>

    I’m at my wits ends and need help! Thank you!

    After reading through the forum for over an hour, I submitted this post for help. Then immediately discovered it was my .htaccess file. I trashed it and now my WordPress is working fine.
