• Hi, I am trying to transfer my WordPress.com blog to www.remarpro.com using BlueHost. I installed wordpress for my site, but when I click the admin link (www.mysite.com/wp-admin) it directs me to a WordPress.COM log-in screen. My newly created admin username and password for the wp-admin page do not work with this log-in.

    Help?? What step did I miss? I’ve been following tutorials and have searched, but can’t seem to find the answer!

  • Assuming you have changed the Name Servers for your domain name (mysite.com) to point to BlueHost, then you have to wait up to 48 hours for that change to Name Servers to be reflected worldwide. In most major areas of North America, 12 hours is probably enough.

    Until then, you will still see your old host, wordpress.com, in your case.

    Be sure to respond if that is not the problem in your case.

    Thank you! – I dug deeper into research and JUST updated my nameservers as you were commenting. This part seemed to get left out of every tutorial I found! For future reference for others, below is where I found my answer:
