New Install – Search not working

  • I just installed WordPress 2.1, via Fantastico/hosting service and all appears well. I can post, etc. I cannot however get any results on the text that I have posted. Nor find much in the way of configuratble options for search in Wordpres. I have look around for 3 or more hours now, hence this post.

    Any steps you would recommend to check? Or is it ‘black box’ type stuff, and I need to reinstall?

    Any word on this, as I’m having the same issue – very frustrating.

    bump for this one. I am having the same problem.

    I just upgraded to 2.1.3 and I’m also having this issue. All search terms simply come back with no results.

    Also a bit strange: For some reason my “latest posts” widget does not display on the search page. All other widgets display just fine, but not the latest posts. (Using latest Widgets plugin.)

    I disabled the “Ultimate Tag Warrior” plugin to fix this issue. There is a fix here for that script somewhere on this board but it didn’t work for me so I just disabled it and search started to work fine.

    I can confirm this. I just disabled Ultimate Tag Warrior 3.14159265 and my search started to work again. Could you link to the script that is supposed to fix it? I would like to still use UTW if possible and am willing to give that a shot.

    UTW was the culprit for me as well. Thanks for the deduction and posting.

    ( i use the hebrew version of wp ver 2.0.7 )

    nadavkav… i think you are rite… i just disable the UTW and my search worked ??
