• I’m a newbie that just installed wordpress on my server for the first time – love it, and everything is working prefectly so far, except for my RSS link at the bottom of the page on my blog:

When I click the RSS link at the bottom of my page I go to this link…

    “feed:https://www.quotenc.com/insuranceblog/?feed=rss2”

And nothing comes up. I think that the problem is that “feed:” is somehow being added to that string and maybe it shouldn’t be. When I delete that and refresh my browser the RSS is coming up fine.

I’m new to this PHP thing so forgive me if this is a really stupid question… how do I edit that out??

Thanks to the simplicity of the wordpress setup I have made it this far, as a non-technical person – but if I could only tweak this one item – I’m on! And I dont want to just hack away and break anything.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I kept digging and found this. If you have the same problem just read post below this ALL the way through before you start applying changes.

Everything is working great now! Apparently the “Feed:” is in the code anticipating new RSS reader technology protocols that will be able to recognize it, and trigger an application. But you can take it out for now if you so choose. Good luck!
