New Install – can’t establish DB connection

    Hi!

    Trying to install WP for the first time in 5 years – Using the 5-minute install, I get ‘Error establishing a database connection’ message. First try was without setting up a database/user, but tried setting up the DB and still got same results.

    Using WordPress 4.9.8 on a WAMP (EasyPHP Devserver 17.0). When I create the DB, the server in phpMyAdmin shows up as ‘127.0.0.1’ – When I used WP before, the server was always ‘localhost’. I’ve tried ‘127.0.0.1’, ‘localhost’, and ‘localhost:127.0.0.1’, but nothing works.
