• I am trying to follow the import instructions from here:
    https://wpforchurch.com/my/knowledgebase/68/Migrating-Sermons-to-Another-Website.html

The files I am importing are on the same host and thus browsable using the import plugin in. I have used the Sermon Manager Import and the Add From Server plugin and neither are ‘working’. The first file I used the ‘Add From Server’ plugin to import DID show up but none have shown up since. They DO get put into the import location (..\uploads\(year)\(month) but they do not show up under ‘Sermons’.

    Please advise.

  • Same for us. New Sermons not showing via Shortcode.
If i use some other Links like the Preacher Archive, it is showing

Newest WordPress with non-manual cronjob. Disabled Caching and Minifying. So clean system.

After 3 hours, the shortcode takes the newest post. But it takes even a few hours.
The post is being published, because it is seen in the archives and in the rss-feed.

So there has to be a bug somewhere in the shortcode area.

Yes, this is a long standing issue. My experience is that it takes exactly one hour after publishing for the sermon to appear via the short code. As you say, it does immediately appear in the archive.

What I observe is that if you look at the all sermons view you see that the “preached” time counts DOWN from 1 hour, while the “published” counts UP from zero such that the sum is always 60 minutes. After one hour, the sermon appears in the short-code and the “preached“ time counts UP From zero.

This has been happening for at least the last year or two, and I have just got used to living with it. I did report it to the original authors, but they couldn’t find a solution. I thought at one time it was something to do time zones or daylight saving time, but that seems not to be the case. I have since moved hosting to a different time zone and the issue persists summer and winter.

Once the current hiatus has settled down, it would be nice if the current team could investigate this, but it is certainly not high priority IMHO.
