New linking 'feature' is awful

  • What is the ‘benefit’ of the new linking tool? I totally don’t know how to use it. When I click on the linking symbol I find [] type blanks that, in chrome anyway, I can’t even get my cursor in.

    And the automatic open in a new window is gone… how is this a feature?

    Oh, never mind… please make it at least understandable…please…or tell me where to find instructions.

  • There was an update to the TinyMCE editor with the latest edition of WordPress. I’m not aware that there is a “new” linking tool. It works the same way as it did before.

    I cannot reproduce your results in the latest version of either Firefox or Chrome. Do you have the latest version of your browser installed?

    If yes, and the issue persists, try disabling your plugins to rule out a plugin-related issue.

    Kojdle… just a short while ago I realized that on the form with the ()s there was also a tiny arrowhead… I clicked that and it restored what I’m used to. I did try to go back and duplicate it and can’t… if it shows up again I’ll take a screen shot…
