New Google Sitemaps Plugin v. 3.0b8

  • Hi there,

    I’ve recently released a new beta version of my Google Sitemaps Generator Plugin and would like to know if there were any problems with this release. If not, this version will be come the new stable version soon, so please report any difficulties you might have had.

    What’s new in this beta release:
    * Added support for robots.txt
    * Switched YAHOO ping API from YAHOO Web Services to the “normal” ping service
    * Search engines will only be pinged if the sitemap file has changed

    Thanks for the update, Arnee! There appears to be a slight problem with the “LastChange” time for the homepage.

    I just made a post at 10:57, which is listed properly in the sitemap, but the homepage is listed above it as being updated seven hours in the future, at 17:57, and it’s only 11:09 here.

    nice plugin arnee,but there is no way i can get the manual rebuild option to work.I did even copy/paste the provided url into FF but it just loads up the index,and the xml sitemap isnt build.
    any hints what may go wrong?

    Arnee,.. The plugin works just fine right after installation,.. after that it wont rebuild the sitemap on every new post or even on manual build.

    So I wento back to ver 2.7, on WP 2.2,.. seems like it rebuild just find… but now I get hundreds of not found errors on google site maps.

    Going to try beta again.,

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    @rmwb: What version of PHP are you using? The plugin is tested with the latest WP3 Beta + WP 2.2 on PHP 5.2.1 and PHP 4.4.4. Could you email me the output of the phpinfo(); function? My email address is himself at arnebrachhold dot de.

    Is it really worth the update?
