Hi there, I work for an agency and we use your Enhanced Ecommerce plugin on thousands of our clients’ sites. We’ve always found the easy set up and reliable reporting to be a good reason to use your plugin, but now that there is a Google Authentication in place of just adding the UA-ID, we may need to use an alternate plugin.

We only sometimes have access to the client’s Google account, and they aren’t always comfortable giving access to that account to a plugin like yours.

Could you tell me what the benefits are of having the new sign-in / authentication?

Is there a possibility you could add back the option to set up the plugin with the UA-ID if you are working for a client and don’t have their Google account, or they aren’t comfortable allowing your plugin direct access?

Thank you, appreciate your help and hope that we can continue to use your very handy plugin!

    Hi @mattdittmann,

Thank you very much for being a loyal user of our plugin and apologies for the late posting.

The Google Authentication feature was added in the plugin as we had been getting a lot of new requirements from the users wherein we needed to implement the auto fetching to the GA and Google Ads ids.

The feature enables the user to include auto-linking of the GA and Google Ads accounts, which has several benefits(mentioned under Step 10 in Installation doc). Further, we have planned major releases wherein we would need this feature for the GA4 setup, Google Ads account setup, Google Ads conversion tracking, etc.

While we understand your side, we would like to help you in the best possible manner but for that, we would need to exchange more information that we cannot share here due to forum policies.

We hope you understand our scope here and just to mention if the communication mode would have been different one then it would have been easier for us to help.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.
