• Hey,

I just put together a little plugin based on the standard GEO plugin that allows bloggers to display a map or sattelite image with each post. This could be the blogger’s location, in the case of a travelblog, or the location of the entry’s subject. The whole thing uses the google maps api, and it’s fairly easy to use. In the posting screen, the writer can simply pan and zoom to the desired location on a map. It’s functional and appears to be stable, but it’s still very new, and installation is a bit of a hassle since you need to go out and get the google map api licenses (these are hassle free, pain free, and free as in beer, fwiw). Other than that I think it’s a pretty fun toy. If you’d like to check it out, it’s at https://www.kentuckyfriedorphan.com/archives/70

I’ve updated the plugin to fix a few bugs, one of which was a showstopper. The new version allows you to individually toggle posts for display on your front page. To see the ItHappenedHere! plugin in action, or to download it and play with it yourself, please visit

    Thank you.

Is this still being developed. I tried it but it crashed my blog.
