New Gallery Images linking to "Page Not Found"

I just updated to version 3.1.2 and noticed I now have problems when I upload a new image. I will upload the image and then select the page it is to go to. I have this: [gallery columns= "3"] on my pages so that when I add a picture to that category it should just show up. I have found that now I have to go to the page and click the “update” button to update the page. If I go to that page on my website and click the picture it is a broken link. I just have to remember to go to the page and update, but I should not have to. I did not in the previous version.
