    Hi,

I would like to place a request if you don’t mind. I’m using the quiz for questions about movies, but with over 900 questions it’s difficult to manage which question belongs to which movie. Is there a possibility to add a category and/or tag filter so I can filter certain questions bases on the category and/or tag? That would help a bunch. ??

    Quizzes are categories – literally!

HD Quiz uses a custom taxonomy (category type) called quiz, and a custom post type for questions. At the end of the day, it works exactly like a blog does, where you add categories to a blog post. One of the many advantages of doing it this way is that we can add the same question to multiple quizzes.

This can be done on a per-question basis by selecting the Quizzes tab when editing a question – but with as many questions as you have, it would be far faster to use the “bulk modify questions” button located on the main HD Quiz page. From here, you can select multiple questions at once and add them to any quiz.

So my recommendation would be to create a ton of new quizzes for each of your “categories” or “tags” that you want, and then use the Bulk Modify Questions page to quickly add whatever questions you want to these new quizzes. Now, even though you won’t be displaying these new quizzes on your site, you’ll have a nice and quick way to access each of your questions. Hope this makes sense!

Oef, that’s really a lot of work, but I understand ?? Already tangled with this idea in the beginning, but maybe it’s the most efficient way to manage it. Thanks! ??

Just one more question about this topic. I’m busy with making different quizes, but I have a problem. Is there an easy way to implement a sort option on the main quiz page. Like in alphabetic order? Or else I’m afraid with over 900 quizzes I can’t find the quiz I need if I want to make changes or edit something in the future. ??

Hmmm… This is a good point.

I think it might be best to do without the ‘sort option’ and actually just sort by name by default. I can’t imagine too many instances where a site owner would prefer to have it in creation order instead.

    Good idea!

Well, I just figured out the alphabetic order is already in place when I refresh te page so I can go forward with this idea ??
