New Free Version Sucks

    I agree with many of the reviews regarding the updated plugin.

    We’ve been using this plugin for years. The new version does not even include a shortcode to display a list of events.

    Needed to spend hours just to get the calendar working after the update, only to find out the shortcode that worked perfectly before no longer display anything on the frontend.

    Good thing I didn’t update.
    He told me that the PRO version is expired. And that’s why there can’t be a free update either.

    Thanks for posting a review here! I’m sorry to hear about the troubles with shortcodes.
    Shortcodes were not available in the free version of The Events Calendar even before the 6.0 release.

    I see in the support thread you opened that you found the source of the issue. We will check and see if we can get that working for you, hang in there.

    If later you change your mind about this review, we’d appreciate it if you could revisit it.
