Today I have enabled the new firewall. In the server settings Wordfence selected “suPHP, + mod_php” as the default setting based on a check (performed by Wordfence?)

So I choose “suPHP, + mod_php” and everything seems to work okay.

But when I look at Wordfence/diagnostics/click to view your systems configuration in a new window/ then I see this:

    Server API : CGI/FastCGI

So did I choose the wrong one and do I have to change “suPHP, + mod_php” in to CGI/FastCGI ?

Or can I leave it this way, since everything seems to be working okay?

    Hi Alwin,

suPHP is a little unusual — it does use the CGI/FastCGI interface, but it does some things a little differently. If the firewall setup notice disappeared after setting it up, then it is set correctly for your site.

You can also verify it by looking for “Protection Level: Extended Protection” on the Firewall page, if you’ve updated to 6.1.3 — if that’s what you see, then you’re all set!
