• Here we go again, folks… I have a form that stopped allowing me to add fields, stopped allowing me to make any settings changes. I’ve gone through these forums and searched on Google, so I’m well aware that others have had this problem. I’ve tried the max_input_vars increase on the php.ini, the htaccess, the functions.php…. nothing is working.

This is so insanely frustrating because the stupid form, which is a long one, is a mere 4 fields away from completion and I’ve just wasted three days trying to find and apply miscellaneous fixes. It’s hosted on GoDaddy’s shared hosting, I bumped it up to PHP 5.4. and the plugin is Version 4.0.30. I have to get this done, like, yesterday, and unless someone comes up with another solution, quick, I have to dump this plugin and start over.

Is there ANYONE who has a suggestion for a fix I haven’t tried?

  • Hi web_mistress00 try the following URL if you haven’t done so yet.

Thanks, I did go through that, meticulously. I’d figured one of those would solve my problem! Back to the drawing board… know of anything else?

What about the memory limit to wordpress? How much do you have? Also enable debug mode and see what happens.

I’ve got the WP Memory Limit set to 96Mb… I’ll try debug mode…

Can you increase your memory limit to 128MB minimum. I have mine set up to 256MB.

Wow… debug mode showed me the following:

Hi did you set up your redirect URL correctly? Do you have a attach field added?

    Regards

    Thread Starter web_mistress00

    (@web_mistress00)

    I didn’t set up a redirect url.

Okay, do you now know the problem with your contact form based on the debug output?

    Thread Starter web_mistress00

    (@web_mistress00)

well all those lines mentioned are actually missing in my file! I’m grabbing a fresh copy of the file.

That is a great idea. Please let me know how you go.

    Thank you

    Thread Starter web_mistress00

    (@web_mistress00)

    Dang, didn’t work!

What was the outcome? Did you run another debug report? Did you check to make sure all fields are set up correctly?

    Thread Starter web_mistress00

    (@web_mistress00)

Yeah, and it’s the same. I can’t save any setting, can’t set up a new form, can’t change a field.

    I’m at a loss.

Okay try the following, disable all plugins except this one and test again? If that does not work change the theme to one of WordPress default theme and carry out a test.
