I’ve added a new field to my product feed. Google required Shipping, so I added it and saved it.

However, when I manually refresh the feed and download the productfeed, this new field is not present.

Is there another process I should follow?

  • Hi thomashockey,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

When you have mapped Google’s g:shipping field to the shipping attribute and the shipping classes and costs are not showing than this can be caused by a couple of things:

    1. You did not set-up WooCommerce shipping classes and costs and/or did not link those to your products;

    2. You are looking at a cached version of your product feed. Make sure to flush the cache of caching plugins you are using and open your product feed in incognito mode in your browser.

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,

    Thank you this worked

Perfect, good to hear that solved the issue at hand.

Apologies, the problem has reared its head again.

This time with Description as well.

Description and Shipping are both mapped to their relevant feeds in WooCommerce. They are also linked to the products in WooCommerce.

They are present and mapped in the Field Mapping screen of your plugin. But they aren’t in the XML file. I’m also looking at an un-cached version of the XML file.

What else can I try to fix this?

    Thanks, Tom

    Hi Tom,

Would you be so kind as to send us the plugin debug.log so we understand how you have configured your product feed?

Instructions on how to retrieve the debug.log can be found here:
    https://adtribes.io/send-your-debug-log-to-support/

    Thanks!

Here you go. It loads as a 403 for me, not sure if you’ll be able to access it.

    Hi Tom,

I am getting a 403 too, meaning access to that directory and or file is forbidden. Since, on default, this directory is open you or one of your plugin must have restricted the permissions for it.

Is there another way you can retrieve it? Can you get it directly from the server?

    Best,
    Eva

How would I get it directly from the server? Or which plugins should I check that could be restricting permissions?

There can be tons of plugin’s causing this but the usual suspects are firewall and/or caching plugin’s.

Ok. Let’s not try that one then. Can you let me know how I can get this directly from the server?

I have a better option, could you reach out to us in [email protected]? Make sure to reference this topic in your email.

We will take it from there.

    Thanks,
    Eva
