• Yep, another quality WordPress plugin from the makers of BlogBling. This one integrates your blog and ESBN. Now you can get an Electronic Standard Book Number (ESBN) for each blog entry and you can proudly display it on your blogs.

    Pop over to the Project Page for downloads and install instructions.

    As always, comments, questions and Pizza are always welcome.

    @vkaryl,

    Dude, I’m just the code monkey. It’s GPL, change whatever you want. ??

    Okay, just checkin’ – I always ask….

    [Um. Could we, like, use “dudette”, maybe?]

    To all users of WP-ESBN,

    Apparently the API has changed. The plugin is broke. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused. I’m not sure if I will re-release a fixed version, however, it is GPL so if someone wants to, they can.

    Ok, everything’s back and working. Version 1.3 is now officially available from the Project page. Please make sure you read the upgrade instructions before you upgrade.

    Enjoy!

    and it is gone again. Why did it become unavailable?

    @jeff,

    The name change they went through threw me for a loop. But they seem to be stabalizing on the new name. Currently the plugin usees the old URL but the next release (unscheduled at this point) will point to the new domain.

    It is now available though and working on my blog. (WP 2.0) I’ve not tested on 2.0.x

    Working with the previous entries on mine (2.0.2) – haven’t tried with a new entry, too much else on the burner just at the moment….

    @v,

    Thanks for the update. If it worked by just editing and saving an existing one that did not have a ESN then I’m sure it will work on a new one.

    =C=

    Oh, nope that wasn’t what I meant, and in fact I did try doing that with one of the earlier versions which did NOT work that way….

    What I meant was that I upgraded the version with the new files, and the entries which were written after the initial installation are still working fine even though the esbn “home” seems to have changed.

    And this version does work to “collect” an esbn number and display it upon edit/save. Which is very nice, thank you kind sir!

    @v,

    Glad it’s working for you and I like what you did with the icon.
