new Error reCAPTCHA v2 ?

I’ve just experienced a possible new Error for reCAPTCHA v2. I’ve tried troubleshooting this a few different ways with no success.

Maybe someone out there can advise how to fix this error? “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

1) I disabled reCAPTCHA v2 and the contact form finally worked, however it’s not protected from spam.

2) I deleted the current reCAPTCHA v2 keys and then deleted inside Google as well.

3) I created a new reCAPTCHA v2 with new keys using Checkbox Validation requests and integrated the keys inside plugin > Contact > Integration

4) Keys were accepted. When I did another test on the contact page, I received the same error message at the bottom of the contact form. “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

5) I deleted keys again, re-created a third new reCAPTCHA v2 but used Invisible Validation requests this time and still the same error message.

6) I’ve reverted back to reCAPTCHA v2 with new keys using Checkbox Validation requests as my client and myself hate how large the reCAPTCHA icon is and it overlays on parts of the website unnecessarily.

I don’t know what else to try.

Can anyone help? Have you experienced the same error?
