new editor won’t save updates

  • Having updated to 5.1.1, the WYSIWYG editor won’t update our page content. We tried to update the page template, but on saving, it reverts back to the last one. If we try to update the page contents, that says saved, but a refresh of the page then shows the old version.

    I have installed the health check plugin and enabled troubleshooting mode. That still won’t save the page contents update.

    Wordpress: 5.1.1
    PHP Version: 7.2.16
    Database version: 5.6.43-log

    Any ideas??

  • When you try to save in the wp-admin and then go out of the page to any other page in wp-admin and come back to the edit screen are your changes still there?

    If so, this sounds like a caching issue. I’d advise trying to load the page in a different browser or a private browsing window to see if the changes show up when you are logged out of the site.
